Almost ready for Green Lane. I was able to write up the rules for the new game last night, and [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy finished cleaning up the boards (I'll still need to do the ones that [livejournal.com profile] h3salthea has but that can happen on site). So far today I've made copies of all the rules and gotten change (five and ones).

Still to do - check out the tent and put together the rules and pieces.

This weekend is our demo at the Green Lane Scottish and Irish Festival. If you are not doing anything on Saturday or Sunday, it's usually worth a visit (and it's free!)

I'll be spending the weekend teaching and play games (as usual). I'll also be selling some game boards that we've made for a fund raiser. [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy hemmed all the boards, [livejournal.com profile] h3salthea is decorating a bunch of blanks, and I've put boards on most of the rest (saving a dozen blanks to fill in if we run low of one style or another). Still to do is decorating the rest of them, printing the instructions out (writing instructions for Fanarona), and putting together the pieces. I couldn't find any history info for Surakarta, and the board design was a pain to make, so I'm only adding one new game this year.

Tonight is the shire meeting, so not much else will get done. Tomorrow night, I'll try and finish up everything, and then head to Green Lane first thing on Saturday morning. Everything but printing the instructions can be done on site, so I'm not too concerned (yet :) )

Time for lunch!

Skipping Newcomer's tonight to just work at home. [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy is off house sitting most of the weekend. Saturday is completely free. I may go help [livejournal.com profile] sansobel bottle her wine, but other then that I'll be just doing stuff around the house. Sunday is a family obligation - church thing (bah), but important to them, so we go. Wonder if there is time before it to get breakfast somewhere... Monday free again, may fill with some social thing. Or brewing. Or social brewing.

Things I should do at home this weekend )

So I'm back at work after a nice vacation. Boo/yay. I was in the office Monday as well, but didn't get around to posting an update 'cause I was spending most of my time in the lab taking ultrasound pictures of my neck.

Been doing... )

How the to do list worked out... )

I've taken off the week between Christmas and New Years.  The office is mostly dead that time of year anyway,  plus it's my last chance to get stuff finished around the house before the new year.

I'm putting together a To Do list of all the things I want to finish up before the end of the year.

In case you're curious...or bored... )

I'll probably update this list as I think of more things.

I need a better way of maintaining a Todo list.  Too many things are getting forgotten or lost.

Paper lists get left behind, or never checked.  My PalmPilot is great for keeping info, but I never got in the habit of checking it for Todo stuff - I need something that is more in-your-face.

Way back when, I had a program for my Mac called Remember? which would put up a calendar and reminder when you booted the system.  I could just leave it in the background and use it to keep track of anything.  I'm glad to see it's still around, but it doesn't help me now that I'm using PCs.

I've been googling around, but haven't found anything that quite fits the bill (and on top of that I'm having trouble getting to several sites which may have something useful).
