Tuesday:  Spent the day at home waiting for the A/C repair guy.  At a quarter to five they call to say he's on his way.  He got there withing the time frame they said he would, but just barely.  Still, I could have gone to work for the day and been home before he showed up.  Anyway, he added three pounds of freon and now everything is running normally.  The A/C is 16 years old, so I know I'm going to end up replacing it some time soon, but for now we'll get another summer out of it.
Worked on the EK Chirurgeon site that evening.  I'm trying out a new editor.  I've been using Homesite which is a nice commercial package, but wasn't built for PHP (although it handles it very nicely).  Right now I'm trying PHP Expert Editor.  It's also a commercial package, but a much cheaper one - plus if you install PHP you can preview and debug your code (it has a build in server just for this).  Much easier on my system then installing some sort of Windows web server and faster then uploading everything when I need to test it.

Wednesday:  Fought with IE and won (by closing it and opening Mozilla).  Downloaded four different ToDo list packages to try out.  All of them were ok, but one really stood out, so I'm giving it a try.  ToDoList 3.6.4 from AbstractSpoon.  It has more features then the others I looked at, it is set up closer to what I would do and it's completely free.  I like the way you can have a different tab for each "project", and every task can have sub-tasks (which can have sub-tasks, etc).  I've set up four projects so far: SCA, Home, Work, Personal (Home being house and yard related, while Personal is my stuff).  Worked on more EK Chirurgeon web stuff.

Thursday:  EK History night.  The previous historian and [livejournal.com profile] kathy_the_geek came over to help sort and inventory newsletters.  We made good progress, which is always nice.

Friday:  Spent lunch time running out to the comic store (Showcase in Bryn Mawr) to grab one comic and a long box.  Came home with four comics, a long box and a game.  That would be bad enough, except that the game is one I already have on order (Early American Chrononauts), but I was so eager to see it (and maybe play it this weekend) that I had to pick it up.  On the up side, several folks are already interested in picking up my extra copy when it gets here.
Did more work on the EK Chirurgeon site.  Got stuck on a few problems late at night and just could not get past them.  I backed out enough code to keep things running (nothing like working on a live site!) and gave up for the evening.  As I'm lying there in bed, I get hit by two "Ah!" insights (and one cat) - got back up long enough to write down a note to myself so I didn't forget.

Saturday:  Spent the morning getting ready for the Commons.  Picked up some meat to cook on the grill, water, ice, etc.  Got there a little before we were scheduled to start and a few moments after Lady Philadelphia.  The crowd was slow to arrive, so the two of us chatted for a while.  We both were of the opinion that even if we didn't get many people, it was important to keep it on the calendar.  We originally started the Commons between our groups as a way for the two groups to interact more.  For being next door neighbors, very few people knew much about the other group and lots of rumors and bad opinions were being passed in both directions.  We hoped to at least improve the relationship and help folks get to know each other better.  Things are much better these days, but we still feel the Commons serves a purpose.
This year we ended up with five(!) other conflicting activities on that day.  I knew about two of them when we scheduled it, but either missed or didn't find out about the others until later.  Still, we had around 25 people attend, including one gentleman from Meridies who was in the area on business, and four newcomers who saw the announcement on-line and came to see what we were all about.  Without the other events we'd have easily gotten another 15-25 people.
Baron Lorcan came out with Bishop Geoffrey, which was very cool, since I'd not gotten to meet him before this (Geoffrey, not Lorcan).  He's been Kingdom Seneschal, Kingdom Herald, a BoD member, and many other offices - in fact I've got a whole filling cabinet in my basement with his name on it :).  We chatted for a while about EK and Bhakail history (and the mysterious Robert the Bear) and the upcoming BoD meeting in Philadelphia.  Very nice guy, hope to see more of him.
After the Commons, we went to a birthday party for my sister-in-law down in Drexel Hill.  Mostly just sat around and chatted with the family until I was too tried to hang out more.

Sunday:  Spent most of the day working around the house trying to reduce the level of clutter to the point where I thought it was worth vacuuming.  Got to work a little on the chirurgeon project - tested my fixes from Friday and they were both spot on.  In the evening we had several people over for poker, which went until about 11 (need to start earlier!).  I didn't win anything, but did stay in longer then I deserved to, given how badly I was playing.

Coming up: More work on the EK Chirurgeon site (soon it will be completely ready for other Kingdoms!).  Sometime this week I'm hoping to count the Carillion polling.  Looks like we'll have enough people; just need to schedule it.  Wednesday we're going to go see Spiderman 2.  Thursday will be EK History night again.  After that the holiday weekend is here and my plans are completely up in the air.  We were originally going to go out with Neale & Becki to her family's annual gathering, but that doesn't look like it will happen.  So now, we're hoping to spend some time with Finn & Margarete plus Niko & Soffya, who are visiting for the weekend.  Hope to hear how they are doing as Baron and Baroness :)  There may also be another family party the mix somewhere.
