Hail Eris!

So, I'm driving through a tiny village in upstate New York, late on Friday night. We're running about two hours behind schedule and have been driving for most of the evening. Suddenly there is a cop behind me with his lights on - damn. I pull over, turn off the engine and roll down the window. The cop comes over and briefly explains that he was going to give me a ticket, but after getting a closer look at my license plate, realized that he couldn't, and that we were free to go.

Date: 2004-06-14 11:12 am (UTC)So are you going to tell us exactly why the cop wouldn't ticket you, if it's not anything we've guessed so far?

Date: 2004-06-14 11:46 am (UTC)I'm pretty sure PA requires the name and website (which is at the bottom) to be visible, but I may wait until I'm told to remove it (I know, not the best idea...) So many of the plates I see on the road are just as bad (and mostly because of car dealership frames, who should know better if it is illegal).
If I need to remove it, I'll probably put it around my old plate and put it on the front of the car.
