28. Myth-Told Tales - Robert Asprin & Jody Lynn Nye [16 : 839/1535]
A very small book with three short stories. I believe they are meant to serve as an introduction to Jody writing with Robert and as a lead-in to the next book. Unfortunately, I think the Myth stuff works best as full length novels.

Anyway - that's enough Myth books for awhile. Time to move on to something else.

Haven't liked the Myth books since he stopped writing them by himself. Thought the same about the Phule books as well.

If these short stories are any indication of things to come, then I'll probably agree with you. I have the next two books, but it will be a while before I get around to reading them.

Too many writers either don't realize that they've "Jumped the Shark" creatively or they don't care and keep pumping out the same ole' stuff - book after book after book. Some obsessive fans continue to buy them out of some misguided loyalty, but it's rather embarassing.

Yep and so long as the books sell, the publishers will continue to buy them.

Yep, I know I have no chance to reach my original goal, but I should be able to at least read more books then I did last year, and keep a favorable read/bought ratio :)
