Month half gone...

Or it was when I started writing this post... I've been making a little progress here and there, but with Pennsic looming on the horizon, everything feels like it's under a deadline.
Let see, exchequer stuff is going fine, but I need to get or mail checks to several people. Been working on the 2nd quarter report (now with a new format!) and been helping beta test the new end of year forms. Made good progress on a lot of it last Thursday, but haven't finished it yet.
I want to start getting back into EK History stuff, but it would be better to wait until after Pennsic to schedule work nights again. I'm looking at moving them to Tuesdays or Wednesday, but not having them every week. Need to figure out what days work best for folks who might show up on a regular basis.
In addition to working on the inventory (an on-going project) I want to start some of the other projects and work on them without so much worrying about how they will all fit together. It may involve some back tracking as we go from project to project (say going through every issue of the Pikestaff multiple times instead of trying to pull everything out on the first pass).
kathy_the_geek and I had started sort of trying to do them all at once but didn't get very far.
(Side note: I need to remember to send some cool quotes from the old shire newsletters to
kathy_the_geek for possible use in the current newsletter. Putting this here, so she'll know to bug me about them.)
Spent last Tuesday in New York for some ultrasound experiments. I'm usually asked to be there in case something goes wrong with the system so that I can quickly fix it. Thankfully, my help as not been needed the last few trips so I just get to stand around and watch. I could add some comments about the experiments themselves, but I think I'd better not (I'll just say that they are gross and unpleasent).
Friday I drove down to Magnolia Delaware (just south of Dover) to help Marietta keg her beer donation for the War Party. It's a bit of a long drive, but it was still fun.
Saturday was gaming day. We had nice sized crowd, and we got to play Munchkin, SPANC and Carcassonne. Didn't make it to Arkham Horror which
merricke brought along. Maybe next time. The next game day will be Aug 27th - the Saturday after Pennsic.
After the group thinned out and the gaming slowed down, those who were left all went out to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Loved it! I definitely prefer it over Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (I still like the earlier one, but for my tastes, the new one is better).
Sunday was filled with meetings for shire stuff. Good progress was made with no big issues to report. Yesterday I drove up to Eisental's shire meeting to try and get the zip code thing fixed. Everyone there was in agreement - get the border restored to where we agreed back in 2001, so now it's just a paper work issue.
Up coming plans: We've got demos tonight and Thursday, and EK War Camp this weekend (for which we never pre-reg'ed, and have no clue where we'll camp).
