27. King Rat - China Mieville

King Rat is an early work (first?) of China Mieville, and just as interesting/weird as his other works. This one takes place in London, but on the inner edges (think Neverwhere). The Pied Piper has returned and is on the hunt for the King Rat.

That's really the only Mieville I've never bothered to go back and read.
