diesel sweeties and zenarchy
These two are covered in this post
the kimberly trip
The Kimberly Trip is a guitar pop band out of California. I discovered them randomly off of CD Baby, and I've been a fan ever since. Sadly, I'll have to wait for them to make it really big before I get a chance to see them live.
german history
Even though most of my family is of German ancestry and my SCA persona is based in Germany, I really don't know much about German history. Still I'd like to learn more.
genealogy
My Uncle started researching our family history and I started helping a little bit with on-line stuff. I was amused to find out things like:
We were here before the founding of the country.
The "English" ancestor I thought I had is actually German with an anglicized name (Werfel -> Warfield).
My grandparents on my father's side were cousins (4th or more) three times over.
I have three Adam Knauer's in a row in the Knauer line.

james morrow
Excellent author of satires - especially religious! My favorite is still probably "Towing Jehovah", but "The Last Witchfinder" is a close second.
poker
Ah yes, the people game disguised as a card game. Great fun in most all of it's forms (I'm not a fan of random/completely blind bidding games - which is different then the blinds in games like Texas Hold'em). I wouldn't mind getting back into a regular dealer's choice game.
