Another SCA weekend

This weekend was my third SCA event in as many weeks.
We got on the road around 9:30 AM on Saturday and pulled into the site right behind
singewulf,
beckishadow and
ianraven. Once we got our EZ-up set and the gear unloaded, I went off to help finish setting up the archery range. My first job was to take the archery marshal's written test, which I'm happy to report is multiple choice :) It was pretty straight forward (no trick questions) and I got a 100%. I started to inspect some bows after that, but then Tomaloc had me running the line for the rest of the morning and a bit of the afternoon.
They pulled a few stunts to see if I was paying attention, and I did ok (still need to work on projecting my voice). I didn't get to talk to Tomaloc after the event, so I need to catch up with him and see what the next step is. I did manage to get in a (poor) Royal Round before I had to head out.
Chatted briefly with
kathy_the_geek,
vonbryan, and
mare_in_flames before my class was scheduled. Got to say hi to
shadowpony briefly as we both were heading off in different directions.
The class was a no-go. No one showed up, so I let the chain mail class keep going. He had a good group there and it would have been a shame to have them pack up just for me to sit at the table. I stuck around for the duration in case anyone stopped in. Got to listen in on
violet_amy's vinegar class - good stuff.
By 3 when both classes were over, it was starting to rain. I bounced between our EZ-Up (which was full of fencers) and the archery tent (which was full of archers), but didn't really get to do anything else. After a while we decided to call it a day and pack up. We joined the Tadcasters for dinner at the Kildare's in Granite Run Mall. After that we helped drop
complexated off, visited her kittens and then headed home for the night.
Sunday was a lazy day, complete with sleeping in til noon, having lunch with the Mom's and some of Amy's family, then back home to watch TV before passing out for the evening.
Next event will be Something Fishy on June 4th.
