Went in and voted before heading to work.  The polling place had the longest line I've ever seen there.  Took about 45 minutes from start to finish.  Interestingly, there is a second district which votes at the same place, but they had no line at all.

So, I was cruising around livejournal looking for other Norristown people, and I came across your journal, and from what I can tell, you sound like a wonderfully interesting person (or, at least, a person that a game-geek like myself would find interesting).

Did you vote at Eisenhauer Middle School? Because the line situation you described sounds like it. I voted first thing in the morning, and 3-1 had a line, but 3-3 didn't have much of one.

I don't get to game nearly as often as I'd like, either, which is sad, considering the massice book collection that I have collecting dust.

I do have a small Thursday night group going, if you're interested, though. We try to meet as regularly as possible.

As for the voting demographic, it looks like there's a few different polling places for districts, because I'm in 3-1, and we had a line for 3-1, and 3-3 at Eisenhower. (and I can't spell, either).

So, it could just be when and where people chose to vote. I imagine that the records are available somewhere, but when you consider how lacking our city and county websites are, I'm not surprised that it's not available online =)
