The return of Miles Vorkosigan! It has been a long while since I last read a Miles book, so it took a little bit to recall some of the minor characters. Still not a bad story just not the best of them.

Wow --i must have issues because this book really annoyed me. I actually wanted to throw it across the room when i was done (though i may be over reacting) It was highly disappointing to me for sooooooo many reasons, especially after looking back to the few books she wrote before Diplomatic Immunity, which were truly excellent. A perfectly average plot and story with not much "funny" in it (and that is one of the things i count on her Vorkosigan books to be), few recurring characters, no character growth for Miles, and the "idolization" of the quirky little "Auditor" was very annoying. And then the ending (though the last few pages of the book were very excellent writing IMO) was SO incongruous with the rest of the story. OMG! She could have made a perfectly lovely and meaningful book centered around the theme discussed in the last chapter of the book. But no, we get another random mystery story. BAH I say, BAH!
0k, done now....not really, but i'll stop there. I might start throwing office supplies or something in my rage.
