33. Changes - Jim Butcher *

Wow. Excellent book. Felt very much like a season finale. I enjoyed the fact that in spite of the dark story line, I was still smiling and chuckling at the writing and the characters. So how soon will there be an audio book of the next volume?

34. The Forever War - Joe Haldeman

A classic SF war story.

Well it definitely felt final.

Looks like its scheduled to come out the same day as the hardcover if Amazon is to be believed.

I was really impressed with this entry in the series. It not only lived up to but exceeded what the title promised, and it did so while the characters all stayed true to themselves. The humor is still there, but there were scenes (no spoiler) that made me want to cry. Butcher has grown as a writer.

I know he has more books planned. It will be very interesting to see how the next one starts.
