9. Sharing Knife: Passage - Lois McMaster Bujold [747/1639]
Book three of the series (originally planned as a two book series, but today I just read that book 4 will be out in Feb 2009). Very enjoyable (as evidenced by how quickly I finished it). Very character driven.

I finished it last night, too. I liked it much better than book 2, which had some plot holes that bothered me. This seemed more like an independent adventure as opposed to part of a quadrilogy that advances a central story line. It will be interesting to see if book 4 ties it together or is another independent plot.
