One more thing... Books!
Feb. 5th, 2004 11:22 pmOk, this one is
msmemory's and the
50bookchallenge's fault. I'm always reading, and I doubt I'll make it to 50 this year (at least not without cheating or counting graphic novels), but I thought it would be fun to keep track of how many I do finish. So far this year I've read:
1. Slaughter House Five - Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
Nope, I'd never read it before. I've enjoyed every one of his books that I've read, and I plan to read a lot more of them (just not sure when...)
2. A Circle of Cats - Charles De Lint
I almost didn't list this one, since at 44 pages (with lots of Charles Vess illustrations) it's more of a short story, but it was a nice story and I'll take any opportunity I can to plug Charles Vess' artwork.
3. I Am a Cat (v1) - Soseki Natsume
Turn of the century (19th/20th) Japanese writer presenting social observations from the point of view of a cat. While I liked it, it was a bit slow going, so I'll hold off on the other two volumes for a while.
I had to work on the plane ride this week, so I didn't get to finish my current book (got close though!)
