So much I'd like to do and so little time to fit it all in.  Can I retire yet?

Had lunch with my dad today.  He's been working at the same place for over 30 years.  In 48 weeks he can finally retire.   I can't quite imagine working in one place for that long (partially because he's been there for as long as I've been alive).  Including summer jobs, I've already worked for five different companies, (but only had three bosses - my third company got bought up, then the fourth company shut down our office, so my boss created the fifth company.)

Spent this evening racking mead/wine/cider.  Even remember to take SG measurements.  Yay me!  Most of it is very dry.  Boo!  I'll have to think about adding more honey or sugar...

Tomorrow I fly to Boston at 7:30 AM (so at the airport by 6:30, means leaving here around 5:30ish, *ugh*) and visit a company out in Boxborough.  At least it's someplace new - my last few trips up there were to Peabody and Everett.  We come back Thursday afternoon, just in time for me to get to the shire meeting.

Things I'd like to see happening in our shire:
- Someone else autocratting Games & Galliards, so I can focus on the game tournament.
- Monthly evening for heraldry - at least until everyone who wants a name and device is taken care of.  I may steal some time from my history nights for this.  That sort of happened two weeks ago, and it worked out fine.
- Dabblers Guild - an idea I heard about on a mailing list or on-line.  We don't always have enough interested people to sustain a monthly meeting on some topics (like say, my gaming nights), but I think there would be enough interest in people trying new and different stuff every month.
- Brewing night.  The local brewing guild is nice, but we spend the meetings talking about guild stuff and not brewing stuff.  A monthly, rotating meeting to actually do brewing (or racking, or bottling) would be cool.
- Return of Philosophy Practice.  We had two meetings, and then nothing for about a year.  There is interest in it, but it just wasn't getting scheduled.

Of course I'd need to cut back on my various other SCA stuff to fit all this in.  *ugh*
