Just because they are using the same keyboard, it does not follow that you can copy/paste from your desktop machine to your laptop.

On a related note, I've never understood why mice didn't know that they were supposed to wirelessly connect to the other 'puter that you are working on.

Oh yeah - there are a number of times that I've switched what computer I was looking at and expected the mouse to come with me...
