Busy month

The Green Lane demo went very well this year. Once again the weather was great and the crowds were interested in what we had to show them. I spent both days in my Game Tent teaching, playing and occasionally selling games.
h3salthea and Marti did a great job on decorating game boards for us.
Highlights last week were a visit to the doctor - cholesterol levels have been cut in half, with no effect on liver function - and the brewers guild meeting. Usually the September meeting is our largest of the year (officer elections, dues are due), but this month it was just four of us. I've put forth some proposals to seriously change how the guild is set up, with the goal of making it more active and useful again.
This past weekend was the Wrightstown Renaissance Faire (but like
woodwindy said, Fantasy Faire would be more accurate). I was given a good sized pavilion to runs games in, so I set up one table displaying a few nicer games, and the other table with my usual selection.
edelweiss68 decorated more boards for me (Thanks!) and we sold good number of them (about half what we did at Green Lane). I've got to put together a few more blanks in time for the next demo (Sept 30), hopefully there will be someone there to decorate again :) The other thing I'd like to do soon is put together a display board showing period images of the various games we play. I was thinking of doing one half board games and the other have card games.
This week has lots of non-period gaming planned. Philly Area Gamers on Tuesday. It is also Talk Like A Pirate Day, so most of the games will be Pirate related (ooh - just had an idea I should try and pull together for tomorrow). Saturday is a game day, and Sunday should be D&D. Good week :)
