Ah, another weekend come and gone. I know it was busy, but I don't think I got a lot done. Friday we had dinner with [livejournal.com profile] beckishadow and Rowan (who needs to get her own LJ ;) ) After dinner, [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy went off to run some errands and I don't recall what I did.

Saturday I was up early packing the car for an SCA demo we were doing for the Cub Scouts. I was running late, but I got up there and got set up before everything started. I then spent the next 5-6 hours sitting in the sun teaching and playing games. Actually more teaching then playing which is what I prefer for demos - if I'm playing it is harder to teach other folks who may stop by. Gave away a lot of game rules, all of which have the shire website on them. I should take a look at web traffic for the week before and the week after the demo and see if there is any difference. Several folks were interested in making their own boards, and more then one scout leader thought they would make a good pack activity. The only downside of the demo was that I managed to burn the backs of my hands pretty badly - thankfully my hat and clothes protected the rest of me.

After the demo, I went to [livejournal.com profile] math5 and Philly's birthday party with [livejournal.com profile] beckishadow. [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy was at a party for her brother, and joined us a little while later. It was good to see lots of the folks there, and chat with a few of them, but I was pretty worn out. I left a bit before the party ended - came home and collapsed into bed.

Sunday morning (and afternoon) I spent puttering around on the web. I added a few games and a dozen or so pictures to the BoardGameGeek database. Amy slept in pretty late, so I didn't try and have anyone over for gaming.

That evening we went out to dinner at Kildare's, and followed it up with seeing Pirates 2. I know a lot of folks are complaining about the movie, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. A good, fun action flick. I hadn't heard about the scene after the credits so we didn't stay for it, but I caught it on YouTube later.

Ahead is another busy week. I've stopped fencing until I can get my allergies under control, but I've still got two archery practices (too much exertion makes it hard to breath), one brewers guild meeting, the Rasputina concert and the Cirque show this week. Hmm... but my Friday night looks free.

I am very much looking forward to Rasputina. Should work out with you where and when to meet you for the tickets, and exchange cell #s.

Got your e-mail!

I have a "might-be-spam" box so I can look at stuff and either report it or put it in my inbox. So we will see you Thursday evening!

You know, that doesn't sound like allergies, that sounds like trigger-based asthma...what I have. :-( My triggers are mold and hard furred animals, but yours might be exercise. Go see a pulmonary specialist? They have this test where they find out whether you do have asthma or not, which isn't that invasive or hard. More details, if you wish.

Hmm. I second. Asthma can cause damage, sometimes long-lasting or permanent, and it's a Very Good Idea to at least rule it out.

Hmmmmmm.....I'm glad they tested for it!

The test I did was one where they slowly introduced a gas that makes it hard to breathe for asthmatics (then, after, they gave me something to make it better...) I failed the last stage, so not so bad. And I don't have an inhaler at all, just advair.

You have been seeing a pulmonary doctor, right?

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] kathy_the_geek, it sounds like you have a form of athsma. Trigger-based or exercise-induced or a combination of the two.
