Spotted an article on Boing Boing yesterday that Loompanics is going out of business. For those who are unfamiliar with Loompanics, it is "a publishing and bookselling company specializing in odd, unusual, controversial, and wild-ass books, with an emphasis on questioning authority." The catalog has the books organized into categories such as Anarchism and Egoism, Big Brother Is Watching You, Fake I.D., Heresy/Weird Ideas, Reality Creation, Self Defense and Underground Economy.

Many years ago I got my first copy of Principia Discordia from them. I've not bought much else from them, but I've always liked knowing that they were out there. But after thirty years they are closing down and selling everything at 50% off - some good deals on some weird books.
