...who's answers I don't know (yet). Name the title and artist from the following first lines of the song (punctuation placed randomly):

1 "Black bird claw, raven wing, under the red sun"
2 "Who's seen Jezebel?"
3 "Dangerous - thunder and lightning"
4 "Oh my nose froze"
5 ...umm... not sure...but not English - got it: "
6 "At the broken heart of the city where the hollow light of day never reaches..."
7 hmm...also not English. This may be harder then I thought.
8 "Only ever really one story"
9 "Oh you shouldn't have kissed me and got me so excited..."
10 "I'm stalking a fan."
11 "Here she comes in her palanquin, on the back of an elephant"
12 "There's a place your mother goes when everybody else is soundly sleeping"
13 "If language were liquid it would be rushing in"
14 "Sleep walking through the all night drugstore"
15 "Holiday quiet on these streets, except for some stubborn leaves that didn't fall with the fall"
16 "Live a life less ordinary"
17 "I'm not in love with the modern world"
18 "I got a hand, so I got a fist"
19 "Oo can you hear me?"

Using Google is cheating.

Got word the other day that The Kimberly Trip's newest album is now available at CD Baby (yay!!). Which means it is finally time to place another CD Baby order. Apart from the TKT CD, I have to figure out which of the 70 some CDs on my wishlist I'm going to pick up this time. Definitely Melora's solo album and at least one Jonathan Coulton album, but what else?

If anyone wants to save a little on shipping and get in on this order with me, let me know quickly!

I was looking over my current (random) play list and was amused by some of the back to back song titles.

EDIT: These titles are made up of two or more tracks that were back to back on my play list.

Here are a few examples:

Whiskey In The Jar Never Gets Old
Wild Untouchable Tamales Of Death
Santa's Secret Sticky Sweet 8 To 5 Lady
The Ghost Of Mother Teresa Running On A Treadmill
The Endless Jenny Pluck Pears
I Know Where You Sleep Baby Love Child
Like The Weather Under Pressure
Wicked Dickie Candy
I'd Rather Be Gay Than Go Out With You Again Sweet Heart
Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy Minimum Wage
Dune Buggy To The Stars

I forgot to grab some CDs before heading into work.

I've been ripping CDs as a background task, usually bringing in 10-12 each day. I've just started, so I've only gotten through 1700 songs so far - still a long way to go for all of them.

Hmm... need to make a user icon for music...

Busy, but good I should say. Thursday night we met up with [livejournal.com profile] notshakespeare, [livejournal.com profile] sindia, [livejournal.com profile] thoughtmaster and [livejournal.com profile] stratagos for dinner and the Susanne Vega in concert. It was my first time seeing her in concert and she put on a great show. I wasn't real impressed with the opening act though. He could sing and play well, but the songs did nothing for me.

The weekend )
