Nothing like a little shopping (or a lot of shopping) to take your mind off things. I visited Barnes and Noble (had a coupon), and the Compleat Strategist (just 'cause) on Tuesday. Got some books at the one (James Morrow, Thomas Pynchon and Tanith Lee) and some games at the other (Nuclear War expansions). Not satisfied with my loot from the Compleat Strategist, I went on-line and picked up a few more games (using wanting to pre-order Carcassonne - The Tower as my excuse). Today I stopped in to Borders to use some more coupons - picked up a few CDs I've had on my list for a while (Jethro Tull, Sinead O'Conner).

I'm hoping to stop in at Sam Goody in KoP tonight. I want to see if there is anything good left in their store-closing-sale. On Tuesday I spotted one CD I'd like to pick up, so there may be a few more, plus they still seem to have a lot of DVDs (good ones? no clue)

I've been very tired lately so sleep has been cutting into my reading time, but I've almost finished my current book.

Found some LJs worth noting: [livejournal.com profile] _imran_ is another period games person, although his web pages all seem to be missing right now. He doesn't post much, but I figured I'd keep an eye on him :)

Roman Dirge has both an LJ ([livejournal.com profile] taxidermied) and a comic community: [livejournal.com profile] lenore_comics

And finally, I made a feed for one of the Board Game Geek forums - gaming groups in the north east part of the country: [livejournal.com profile] bgg_northeast

I'll leave you with what's currently in the CD changer:
1. The Clash - Combat Rock
2. Serenity Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
3. & 4. Kate Bush - Aerial
5. Madeleine Peyroux - Dreamland
6. Weezer

Last time we visited the Strat, Thom picked up "Northern Crown." He's been aching to run a game in that system since he's always been a big Colonial history nut.

Compleat Strategist is still around? I thought the franchise went out of business years ago. I presume you went to King of Prussia, or have they moved?
