Over 400 songs on my PDA. Shuffle play. And it manages to pick the two versions of White Rabbit to play back to back. (And just to be different, it followed them up with a techno Speed Racer, then the German techno version of Rubber Ducky...)
My first thought reading your post was "I wonder what a German Techno version of Rubber Ducky sounds like"... I can't wait to get out of the lab so that I can find out! :)
Arrr, 'twas some years ago, but methinks I managed t' snag this li'le gem meself during one of me expeditions to the Sea of File Sharing. Yo ho ho and an Ethernet line!
Kathy: I had "Current Music: Rubber Ducky--German Techno Remix" on my May 27th, 2005 update! You need to read my posts more carefully! =P
I mentioned this to the parents during a phone call and they of course wanted to hear it as well. This was during the Gilded Hellhole era--too bad I couldn't have made my neighbors' heads explode by playing it then.
I love some of the strange combos I'll hear out of this thing. I need to go through the rest of my CDs so it will have a better representation of what I like, but so far it's been interesting.
Fascinating -- I had no idea Blue Man Group had done a cover. What album is this on? I've only got "Audio", and I hadn't realized they had others.
As for Rubber Ducky: that is truly disturbing. It's so -- German. And electronic. And *perky*. Three words that don't usually belong together in my lexicon.
Really, it feels like a sort of postmodern version of Animaniacs...
