Excellent postcyberpunk novel.

What comes after cyberpunk? Is this a genre thing I'm just unaware of or is that the point of the book?

It's partly the tech--Diamond Age nanotech means that meatspace becomes almost as malleable as cyberspace.

That was good. I read and liked this book...neo victorians!:) except IIRC the ending got a bit "weird"...but then someone commented to me once that he doesn't do endings well.

Yeah that is definitely an issue.
I think he is getting better though. Anathem pretty much held up for me.

I really enjoyed that book! It wasn't Snow Crash (but what the hell is, anyway? That was the ultimate book.)

I also enjoyed Zodiac and Cryptonomicon but just haven't been able to get started at all with Quicksilver.
