Nothing much has happened in the last week. Most of my evenings were spent doing some consulting work - which will be continuing this week as well. I've been fighting with one of the hardware bits, and so far it is winning.
Made it to Philly Gamers and got to play Trans Europa and Metro.
Got to play Unspeakable Words with
complexated and gang on Friday. It's a Cthulhu themed word game and was lots of fun :) I'd like to try it again without the optional rules (I think we used all of them at once) and see how the basic game plays.
Saw the Barn's production of Chess which was very good. The people playing Florence and Anatoly were both excellent, but the guy playing Freddie bugged me.
Got my EK History letters out more or less on time, so that project has now officially started.
arieya was over on Sunday, going through my game collection. She is working on a service to provide replacement parts for games, and was taking measurements from a bunch of games I had. When she was done, the games in the dinning room were all neatly stacked on one side:

Speaking of games, just the other day I was wondering if a new reprint of Cosmic Encounter could coming. Well, I just read this announcement from GenCon:
Sweet! The return of Borderlands is great news as is a new "gamer" version of CE.

Cosmic Encounter will be published in the summer of 2008. Borderlandswill be published in the summer of 2009. The "Wheels Within Wheels"system will be featured in a new original board game set in FFG's Twilight Imperium universe in late 2008.
