Sneaky update

I'm behind on just about everything, so I'll just sneak in an update here.
Still working on clicker training Tyree. Unfortunately his favorite treats upset his stomach something fierce, so I've switched to brushing him as a reward until I can find something more gentle on his stomach. (Fortunately he *loves* his brush) I need to call the vet soon - Mughi is due for a return visit and I want to talk to them about some other options for Tyree.
Finally talked Margarete into joining LJ :) (Ok, it wasn't a hard sell at this point) Discovered that my friend Frank has an LJ for his consulting business (
fjacquette). Still working on getting the rest of the old Drexel/House folks on LJ.
Brewers guild meeting went well; I now know what brewing I need to finish by Pennsic. Meanwhile, I also need to bottle everything else and take an inventory of the basement.
Did most of the bookkeeping for Alles Faire on Thursday. We covered all the income and worked out what the attendance was. Arlyn did a great job with reconciling the gate cash and checks. Almost no problems at all. At dance practice I got most of the remaining expenses, and just need to catch up with one or two people to finish the report.
I did make it to dance practice (seems to happen about once a month these days), but didn't get to dance anything. Spent the entire time doing exchequer stuff :/
Attended a birthday party on Saturday. Got to catch up with a bunch of my friends from college - we don't get to see them very often these days, which sucks because we used to hang out all the time. But between their work and kids and our work and hobbies, we just don't connect very often.
On Sunday we went to
chargirlgenius and
jljonsn's baby shower which was a lot of fun. I ended up missing
fionawolf's graduation party (Anyway - Congrats Lisa!).
On Monday I left early, drove to Philly, got a train to NYC, and took the subway up to Columbia University, where we tested out our system and prepared for the next day's experiments. I finally tracked down one of the problems I'd been told about but couldn't duplicate in the office. Unfortunately it's not in one of my programs, so I couldn't fix it in time for the experiments. The OR was much larger then we usually get, which was a good thing, since we had about six carts of equipment in there, and added two more the next day. We ended at a reasonable time, so I reversed my trip and was able to get home just after 7. I collapsed shortly after in hopes of getting some sleep before the next trip.
Yesterday, I made the NYC journey again, only leaving the house an hour earlier, to try and get to the labs by 9 AM. Didn't make it thanks to some late trains, but I still got up there before everything started. Had a bit of a comedy of errors as the folks running the experiments and the folks running the OR as they figure out just what all the protocols are and exactly what stuff has been sterilized properly. In the end we were able to test out most everything we wanted, and it was all deemed a success (so far).
Today, I'm mostly catching up on LJ and email and stuff around the office.
Tonight I've got the return of (unofficial) archery practice, a library demo tomorrow and helping my Mom revive her lagging computer (again) on Friday. Saturday we are day tripping to Landsknecht, but missing feast and Sunday's Curia. I'm hoping we make it there in time to sit in on the Senechal's meeting ('cause, that's what I do). Sunday is another baby shower - should be fun. I'm hoping to meet some folks I've only seen posting on LJ. The next week looks pretty quiet so far (not counting the Serenity screening).
Questions? :)
