Yay! After yesterday's disappointing mail: one piece of junk, and our Cirque tickets, today was much better. (not that Cirque tickets are a disappointment - it's just that I can't use them until next summer)
Started off with UPS bringing me a book I ordered about two years ago. It's Francis Willughby’s Book of Games, an unfinished manuscript from the 1660s that contains rules to many of the late period games I've been trying to learn and teach. Very cool!
Then the mailman brought our comic shipment (68 items! The box is huge compared to a normal shipment) including Thud - The Discworld Board Game, which I've been hoping for since Terry Pratchett showed off a copy at Jersey Devil Con last year.
Now, not all the books are mine, only 26 of them. Several of my friends and I go in on a group order from Westfield Comics. They provide a nice discount from the start and the size of our order gives us at least another 10% off, which more then covers any shipping charges. Plus no sales tax (which would be 6% here in PA). The down side is that the good prices encourage me to order more. My current list is fairly long:

Of course most of the independent publishers don't keep anything like a regular schedule, so it's not like I get all of these every month. Some of them I've not seen new issues of in years.
This should keep me busy for the rest of the day :)
