45. Zoe's Tale - John Scalzi

Figured I may as well finish off this series while it was still fresh in my mind. This volume tells the same story as the last book, but from the point of view of the colony leader's teenage daughter. Scalzi does a good job of keeping the story interesting and fleshing out some of what was happening behind the scenes.

Your opinion: A Young Adult book or not?

Hmm... I don't think so. It may be close, but it has a "Podkayne of Mars" feel to it, and is more serious then the usual YA fare.

I don't think John wrote it as YA, but it got marketed, in some places, that way.

But then again, was "Ender's Game" YA? I know the books that followed were not.
