2. A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle

I don't think I've ever read this book myself. I recall way back when having this book read to me by a librarian somewhere though. A quick YA read that I'm afraid left me with two main thought - child endangerment and dang Meg yells a lot.

Meg is one of my favoritest heroines ever :) If I ever get around to picking an sca name, I'm pretty sure it will be Meg something (I'm actually pretty sure it will be "something" like Meg Wyldere, I just haven't bothered to doublecheck with a herald or submit anything, yet.)

Well, she just didn't do it for me in this one. I know I've never read (or heard) the other books in the series, so I don't know if she gets "better" or not. I was just amused that most of her dialog was full of exclamation marks :)

Been a very long time since I last read it, but the sequel, A Wind in the Door, was my very favorite book for several years...
