Big surprise, I got some books for christmas :)

Lots of fantasy and SF:

Urban Shaman - C.E. Murphy
Four and Twenty Blackbirds - Cherie Priest

Fatal Women - Tanith Lee (writing as Esther Garber)

and one non-fiction:
The Philosophers' Game: Rithmomachia in Medieval and Renaissance Europe - Ann Moyer

I also just ordered a pair of books for myself. They were published in 2004, but the first I heard of them was when I was looking on abebooks.com to see if any copies of The Game of Tarot were available (the answer: Yes, but they are $200-300+). Anyway found these and then ordered them from the publisher.

Pricey books, but if you register with the publisher you can get them for 20% off. I'm hoping they found some earlier rules to the game, but from the table of contents most of the games will be post-period.
