16. The Big Over Easy - Jasper Fforde [28 : 826/1534]
The first (and so far, only) book in Jasper Fforde's new Nursery Crime series, where we follow the detectives of Reading's Nursery Crime Division as they try and solve the case of Humpty Dumpty's murder (suicide? accidental death?). An enjoyable book, but it felt like I had jumped into one of the later Thursday Next books without the benefit of reading the first few to get a good footing in the background of this new world.
I found some duplicate entries in my book database, so I'm slightly ahead of where I thought I was, but I still won't be able to make this year's goal.
