Two busy days and one slow one
Jul. 30th, 2004 02:12 pmWednesday I had to get up at 5:30, drive into Philly and catch a train to New York. Spent the day working on various video problems that the clients were having, only taking a break to grab lunch and run through the Strand Annex (which is next door to their office). One of these days I'll make it to the main store. One of these days I'll get in touch with my friend Layla before heading up there, maybe get together for lunch or dinner before coming back home. Usually my trips have too short a notice to set anything up. Left their office at 5 and didn't get home until 8:30.
Thursday I got up at 5:30 again, and drove to DC. I even behaved, and didn't stop at one of the Waffle Houses on the way down. Actually the FDA office I was visiting wasn't in DC, but rather Rockville, Maryland. Had a good day working on installing new software and interfacing it to a new motor controller. After I finished up there, I tried to find Dream Wizards, a game store I used to frequent. I found where they used to be - but the whole area is under construction and they are no longer there. I didn't try to figure out where they moved to because it was already 7 at that point and I still had to drive home.
Today, I'm alone in the office again. I've got stuff to work on, but no pressure to finish it all today. I'll probably leave a little early and visit the gym before going home.
