Confusion and a book
Jun. 21st, 2004 06:05 pmOk, I opened my web browser for a reason, but I can't remember what it was. None of the stuff lying around the PC is helping me remember, and the cats refuse to speak. I hate it when that happens...
Since I'm here... I finished a book right before leaving for Vinland Raids:
17. A Hat Full of Sky - Terry Pratchett [797/1494 53.34%]
Terry Pratchett's third young adult Discworld book is my favorite so far. I'm a fan of Granny Weatherwax so her appearance here was a big plus. For some reason, maybe I really got into the story or my defenses were down, but one chapter (#9) really blew me away. Not what I usually expect from a Pratchett story, but a pleasant surprise. (Just reread the chapter; same effect - it's an extremely powerful bit of writing).
