I used to drink a lot of Coke (Pepsi was too sweet tasting - still is).  A few years ago I realize that most of my calories were coming from soda, so I decided to switch to Diet Coke, figuring that I'd either get used to the aftertaste, or I'd give up drinking it.  I got used to it.  Now I've been drinking Diet Coke for several years.  But between articles like Sodas Raise Cancer Risk and Liquid Candy, the potential side effects of artificial sweeteners, and my tendency towards acid reflux, it would be a good idea for me to give up soda altogether. (Caffeine doesn't enter into the equations much - I don't seem to notice it when it's there or miss it when it's not).

So, I need a drink.  I know that water is the best answer, but I can't get good cold water at work, and I can't justify bottled water.  Plus I prefer to have *some* sort of flavor.  I've poked around my grocery store, but not found anything that fits the bill.  Today at lunch, I went over to the Whole Food Market to see what they might have to offer (Mistake #1 - Going over before eating).  I found lot of organic soda or large bottles of juice - not really what I was looking for.  Bought some organic lemonade ('cause it was 99 cents for a quart) but it's got as many calories as soda.  Also bought some Vitaminwater which was on sale.  Interesting stuff, about half the calories as soda (why did they feel the need to add sugar?), plus vitamins.  I also picked up lunch and a snack while I was there (Mistake #2 - visiting the bakery while shopping for drinks).

Anyone know any good soda or water alternates?
