5. Irresistible Forces - Catherine Asaro (Editor), Lois McMaster Bujold, Jo Beverley, Mary Jo Putney, Jennifer Roberson, Deb Stover [784/1462 53.63%]
A short story collection offering a cross between F/SF and romance.  I actually finished this last week, but never bothered to post about it.  The story by Bujold was my reason for buying it, and was my favorite of the lot.  Surprisingly I enjoyed most of the stories, the only notable exception was Mary Jo Putney's which did nothing for me.  At some point I need to read the novels I have by the editor, Catherine Asaro.  I liked her style, and the books came recommended.

I keep a database of all the books (fiction) that I own, mostly so I can keep track of what I've read and what I haven't, but also to try and stop me from buying the same book more then once.  As of finishing "Irresistible Forces", I've now read 784 of my 1462 books.  I'm happy so long as I can keep above the 50% mark :)

6. The Brentford Triangle - Robert Rankin - [785/1462 53.69%]
Finished this one up on the plane ride back from Boston.  This was probably the first time I've not been able to get through more then one book on a work trip.  Usually there is plenty of time waiting around with nothing to do, but not this time.
Anyway - good book, very weird bordering on too weird, but then that's why I like his stuff.  I'm probably going to finish his Brentford "trilogy" (four books) before going on to something different.
