What's up...

Friday - Got to finish up writing my mead making class and test it out on Sabatina (who needs an LJ - no really!). Only had a few changes to put in before printing out the handouts for Schola.
Saturday was Schola. The morning was a little confusing - we got to the site right around the time it was supposed to open 9 AM, but no one was there and all the doors were locked. Turns out it should have opened at 10, but that's not what the announcement said. We were also given the wrong key. After a bit, everyone who needed to be there arrived and we got the correct key so we could get inside and set things up.
I had a game class in at noon, it was intended primarily for kids, but their was only one there at the time, and he already knows the games. Still I got one student,
fionawolf's mom, so I taught her a few of the basic games. Later in the day I got to play Go and 12 Mans Morris with
fionawolf - good fun. I think we still need another tie breaker game of 12 Mans.
The mead making class was well attended, but ran a little long. Next time I'm going to skip most of the optional equipment and spend more time on the process. I decided that I really needed a giant yeast cell for the next time I teach this, so I ordered one :)
Sunday was a birthday party for Mary and AJ. We went down early(ish) to help get ready and then hung out all evening. Only a few people could make it - I don't recall a formal invite or details being sent out, so I suspect some folks just forgot it was happening. Anyway, we had a good time.
Monday was fencing, but when we got there no one was real eager to get started. The fighters were also just hanging out, so I made the "mistake" of mentioning the Sly Fox. We all then decided that practice would be held at the brewpub, which is where we spent the rest of the evening.
Tuesday was D&D.
violet_amy made dinner for everyone - a yummy turkey chop with a cranberry orange toping. The game got cut a little short as a fussy AJ was frustrating Mary and keeping her from the game. Still we made some progress in the adventure, and got to kill things :) Looks like my other D&D is officially dead, so I'm glad this one is finally picking up again.
On Wednesday I finally made it to the gym, where I proceeded to torture my legs and get in some reading. After that I sorted comics (new shipment!) and then did some laundry while catching up on some TV.
Thursday I spent the day in a meeting in Reading - lots of work to do the next week or so. In the evening, Sabatina came over and with Amy's help we worked on sorting the exchequer files. We had hoped that Brynn would join us so that we could finalize the Schola event report, but she couldn't make it. We wrote up the report anyway (I already had all the information I needed) and I sent it to her for review. Looks like we took a small loss (under $100), mostly due to low attendance.
No plans tonight. We were invited to join our friends Paul and Merrilee at Shocktober Fest, but I don't think it's really my thing. Another option is to go to dance practice, or we could just find something else to do. Saturday we're going down to Maryland for the funeral. Sunday we may go out to a Brew-B-Que that one of the members of the guild is hosting. The rest of the week includes fencing, a visit to the FDA, EK History, and mead making.

Yes, that is so wrong
