Quick, write it down before it blurs into nothing...

Gave blood on Wednesday.  I had an appointment for 5:00, but ended up waiting until almost 6:20 before it was my turn.  Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a book along, so for most of the time I was playing Go against my Clie (Pilot Go - which turns out to be a lousy player).  Once on the table, I was finished within 20 minutes, and ready to head home just as [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy was getting ready to take her turn.  On the way home I stopped at a new archery store to check them out.  As expected it was focused on hunting, but they had crossbows(!) which I've not seen to often.  They have a indoor 20 yard range that you can use for $6/hr.  May be worth while to help keep in shape over the winter and get ready to try and bring archery back to the shire (again).

Thursday was our shire meeting.  We got a slightly late start because one of the college groups was using the room we had reserved.  The meeting went pretty well.  We've decided not to pursue bidding for Spring Crown Tourney (bummer), but we are going to look into bidding to host Kingdom Champion of Arms as Alles Faire.  The only problem/hassle that I found out about was learning that there was an envelope of cash and checks from an old Alles Faire that was found at one of our member's house and turned into the seneschal.  I need to stop over and pick it up sometime soon so that I can figure out what it is exactly.

Friday I had planned to get together with some of the guys while our wives were out doing a ladies and babies thing at Marcele's.  Turns out most of the ladies had to cancel (too tired or sick), leaving [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy to attend on her own.  Sounds like she had a good time and was able to give Marcele and Makken a bit of a break.  Not knowing this before, I continued with the original plans - got home and popped in the first Resident Evil movie (zombies!).  Watched it and a few of the extras then headed out to the bar.  Hung out there nursing a Hacker-Pschorr (first time I had it - pretty good) until Finn arrived.  We waited a while longer for Sean, until we got a phone call from him.  Seems he misread the email, and ended up at the wrong place about an hour earlier.  Eventually he made his way up to where we were and we hung out for a little while longer before heading to the theater for Resident Evil: Apocalypse (more zombies!).  Got home a little while after midnight.

Saturday morning, [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy decided she wasn't up for Kingdom Crusades, so I went down by myself.  I was hoping to catch up with a few people, take a few classes, do some shopping, attend court and head home.  Has things happened, I missed most of the one class, and all of the other one.  Never found one person I was looking for, only saw most of my friends for brief moments, and didn't do any shopping.  I spent most of the time hanging out with the brewers at the brewing competition.  Even got talked into entering a few items - didn't win anything, but didn't do any worse then I expected.  I did make it to court - many good people were recognized with awards, so that was cool.  I stopped in at a party that the brewers guild and fencers where having, but by then it was getting late so I had to head home.  Got home a little while before midnight.

Sunday I got to sleep in (yay!).  We then headed out to Kildare's for brunch, followed by seeing Shaun of the Dead (even more zombies!)  Great fun movie - many laugh out loud moments.  Went home and cleaned a little, grabbed food and then got ready for D&D (rescheduled game from last Tuesday).  We played most of the evening, then we watched Dead Like Me after everyone left.

Tonight is fencing practice (yay!).  I'm also dropping off my car at the body shop, so that they can replace my bumper finally (*sigh* there go my bumper stickers).  Tuesday I need to stay home and work on my classes for Schola.  Wednesday is the brewers guild meeting, and Thursday is EK History.  Friday should be Period Games, but I may cancel it to give me a final chance to get ready for Schola on Saturday.

I ran into the husband of the person you couldn't find. Seems she's writing a book and had a brainstorm, so she wasn't venturing out of their cabin til she got all of her idea onto paper.

I'm glad, but we needed to see her too :)
