Yep. I've also got access to the back end database, so I can add my own classes this week. My problem was that the rest of my teachers had not gotten their classes in yet (had some last minute additions yesterday so we're in good shape now).

Erm, Mike? What's it mean when my mead is trying to crawl out of the carboy and up the airlock?

About a week ago, it started producing bubbles again, albeit slowly. Tonight I noticed that there was much more activity. Much, much more. Then I noticed that there's mead more than half way up the first section of tubing in the air lock.....

Yikes!

What's going on? What do I do from here? Heeeeeelp!

Sounds like some vigorous fermentation :) Usually a good thing (though messy).

I need more info on the time table to understand what may be going on. Did you recently rack it? How long as it been since you started it?

This is the same mead I started way back when. I racked it a week or two ago, and it still hasn't cleared. It hadn't been bubbling after I racked it, until it started slowly a few days ago.

I think it's trying hard to turn into fizzy wine.

Well, it is a little odd that it would kick up again that long after you started - but it is also common for the yeast to get reinvigorated after racking. Most likely that is what has happened.

It won't turn into fizzy wine unless you try and bottle it while it is still bubbling (not recommended - though I've done it a few times by accident).
