Main Street Ambler

During lunch today, I decided to walk down Main Street in Ambler. Main street is a bit of a misnomer, since the main road running through town is Butler Pike. I hadn't been down there since starting back up and Moberg and I figured it was worth seeing if there were any good stores.
Boy howdy are there.
First stop was Dimension Collectibles who carry all the collectible miniature games, Magic:tG, and other stuff (though I didn't see the pirate ship game). They had one copy each of Carcassonne and Settlers, but that was it for board games. Lots of horror movie t-shirts. They do some sort of gaming every night.
Next up was the Sweet Bytes Internet Cafe. A very nice little set up - I picked up some excellent bread pudding for desert here.
Next door to Sweet Bytes was Read's Beads which was filled with a ton of beading and jewelry making goodies.
Coming up the other side of the street, I missed one store: P.S. Vintage Fabrics because they don't have the word Fabrics written very large on their sign :)
I did stop into The Flour Pot. Where they were very busy putting together cookie orders for christmas - very fancy stuff!
Upstairs from the Flour Pot is The Main Skein a knitting (and related stuff) store packed full of stuff. (I believe I saw some alpaca yarn...)
My final stop was Toto's Gelateria & Caffe, where I grabbed a sandwich for lunch while looking over their selection of gelato and baked goods :)

Date: 2006-12-21 06:54 pm (UTC)I haven't lived there for a couple of years, and it sounds like things have changed. I don't recognize any of the other names of the stores. I should go back for a visit. Sounds fun!
