The ice maker in my freezer somehow managed to make hollow ice cubes. Very clever that.
Just finished a doughnut sundae. There is a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins store near us and ever since it opened I kept wanting a doughnut sundae. While it wasn't on the menu, the guy at the counter didn't react strangely to the request. Old fashion glazed, Oreo cookie ice cream, caramel sauce and whipped cream.

Date: 2004-05-16 04:48 pm (UTC)The ice: probably got partway through the freeze cycle and then for some reason the internal, unfrozen water drained out. You could take them and fill them with colored water and re-freeze....

Date: 2004-05-16 05:50 pm (UTC)For the ice, that was my theory. I thought maybe a power outage may have reset some part of the time for the mechanism. Unfortunately they are very fragile, so I wasn't able to do much with them.
