Wow! That was determination.... The junk growing in our back yard (all of 30x30) would probably also fill a dumpster, well, maybe half. Of course, a big chunk of our problem is the tree we don't own ....
Looking good. Are you planning to put in new foundation plantings or leave it?
I would suggest laying down some fertilizer (a VERY weak blend) or compost/manure/humus, then slapping down some WeedBlock fabric if you're going to leave it for a year. It'll keep you from having to deal with keeping weeds out, and it'll prep the soil for planting next year...
I second the herb garden idea, having done it in the past. Make sure you put it near your grill, so you can reach down and add some herbs to your chicken or beef.
Mark and I feel your pain...we've been procrastinating with our weeding, too. Never occurred to me to take pictures on Monday, before and after Mark went to town on ours.
