Ok, so I know they're not memes (but calling them so is one), but I can't bring myself to call them games either (they don't fit my unwritten definition of what a game is).  If it was a quiz, I'd call it that, but it's not.  This one says to go to your browser and type in the each letter of the alphabet and copy the link that comes up.  I chose to start each one with www.

Ok, this is an old meme that been around since at least some time in 2002. [livejournal.com profile] jducoeur brought it to my attention several months ago when he posted a link back to his list from early 2003. Ever since then it's been rattling around in my brain collecting information and looking for a way out (making it the only "real" meme I've encountered so far, or at least the strongest).

Edit: It has been about ten years since I posted this. I was thinking about it the other day and decided to see what has changed. A few edits have been added in bold. 7/14/2014

So here we have 100 facts about me )

This one's been going around recently.  No clue why the list is numbered backwards; too lazy to change it.

Italics mean I've seen it at least once.
Bold means I've seen it a whole lot/watched it religiously/etc.

Taken from [livejournal.com profile] kbuxton.

* bold those you've read
* italicize started-but-never-finished
* underline those you own but haven't gotten to yet
* add three of your own
* post to your livejournal

Job meme

Ok, got this from [livejournal.com profile] msmemory and I was curious what my list would look like.

Make a list of all the paying jobs you've had.
  Circular Delivery (well, it wasn't a newspaper, it was a bunch of advertising circulars - what would you call it?)
  Lab Assistant (cleaning and repairing keyboards - tried to get a job at a book store or library, but I was too young)
  Voice Communications Assistant (database and networking stuff as well as telephone inventory)
  Programmer/Software Engineer/Consultant (many titles, all the same sort of work)

Yep - it's as short as I thought it would be.  I've been doing the same sort of work for the past 15 years.  Never took a retail or food related job, never babysat for money and never took a job I didn't think I'd have fun with.  Never quit a job either.  I had several that were short term (summer or co-op), and I had two companies go under while I was there, but I've never quit or been fired.  Overall I'd have to say I've been damn lucky.  The downside is a lack of breadth of experience.

I spotted the results of one of these over in [livejournal.com profile] anglicub's journal, so I thought I'd track one down and try it (not sure if it's what he used or if there are others out there).
