I haven't seen the movie version of Rent yet, but I bought the soundtrack, not too shabby. They got most of the original cast to do the movie.
I *have* seen it on stage and it *rocked* my world. I saw it when I was still in Boise and we noticed there were a lot of older people in the audience. More than once we imagined one of the old mormon ladies leaning over to her husband and asking "Whatever happened to that nice boy with the pickle tub?"
