Saturday was busy with helping Char move and then attending a party for [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy's twin nephews.  Sunday was a lot of fun - we went to an early showing of The Village - which I really enjoyed.  I understand that it's different from what the previews imply, but that was fine for me (I never watched any of the previews).  Joining us were [livejournal.com profile] singewulf, Becki, Warren, Paul and Merrilee.  Afterwards, most of us when over to Kildare's where Joy, Mike and their kids joined us for brunch.

The new software person started yesterday.  Nice guy, seems to know his stuff, but we seem to have trouble communicating (lots of corrections and misunderstandings).  I suspect it will take a bit of time for us both to figure out what works best.

Got home and was paying the bills when *pop* out drops one of my fillings.  So now I've got a big gapping hole in one of my teeth.  We'd been in the process of switching dentists so I had to speed that along and got an appointment for Thursday before shire meeting.

Went to fencing for the first time in months - I'm very out of practice (not that I was that good before) and still very out of shape.  Need to keep going to the gym.  I've been able to make it at least three times a week so far, but Pennsic will stop that for a bit.  Our marshal gave [livejournal.com profile] violet_amy and I some fencing homework for Pennsic - namely to fight some pick up bouts during the week.  With my current schedule, I don't see it happening but I'll bring my stuff along anyway.  I'm going to leave my archery stuff at home - I'm so out of practice there that it's not worth it.

[livejournal.com profile] violet_amy has her last class tonight, so I'll be home alone.  Need to clean and start my Pennsic prep.  Wednesday we may be playing D&D, still don't know for certain.  Thursday is the aforementioned dentist and shire meeting (at our house).  And strangely, the weekend is free - like completely unscheduled.  Weird.

Mind you it would be easy to fill...Stone Soup is playing at the new Kildare's in Manayunk on Saturday night (which could be wrong, since that place is expected to open until the 17th...).  I'd love to repeat this past Sunday, just need to pick a movie to watch.
