NYC Recommendation?

mikeknAmy and I are looking to go to New York City for an extended weekend some time this summer (or fall). We're going to visit the Met (since neither of us have been), and probably the American Museum of Natural History (for the minerals and gems). We plan to see a show or two (Avenue Q, Wicked, Jumpers, who knows!) I'm pissed that the Morgan Library is closed until 2006, but some of their stuff is at the Met.
We're also looking for ideas for interesting/off-beat/unique/lesser known stuff to do or places to visit. Any ideas?
