Ah -- good to see that Bish is still around. He's one of the most interesting folks in EK history, IMO; his Seneschal files were among the better reading in the historian's files. (Not as amusing as The Fred Letters, but usually more relevant.)
In the evening we had several people over for poker
Hmm. I'll have to find a non-event opportunity to play poker with you -- despite my predilection for period games, and my experience in the computer-game biz, poker remains my all-time favorite game. We had a friendly mostly-SCA table locally for a number of years (dealer chooses the game, nickel ante) that shut down recently, and I'm quite missing it...
