I need a better way of maintaining a Todo list.  Too many things are getting forgotten or lost.

Paper lists get left behind, or never checked.  My PalmPilot is great for keeping info, but I never got in the habit of checking it for Todo stuff - I need something that is more in-your-face.

Way back when, I had a program for my Mac called Remember? which would put up a calendar and reminder when you booted the system.  I could just leave it in the background and use it to keep track of anything.  I'm glad to see it's still around, but it doesn't help me now that I'm using PCs.

I've been googling around, but haven't found anything that quite fits the bill (and on top of that I'm having trouble getting to several sites which may have something useful).

18. Battle Royale - Koushun Takami [798/1499 53.24%]
The English translation of the Japanese novel.  Very different from my usual, but I had picked it up on a whim and I'm glad I did.  It takes place in an alternate Japan which has become a fascist state.  One of the experiments run by the state involves taking an entire third year class, placing them on an island and forcing them to kill each other.  The last one living is the winner.  It's violent, graphic, and filled with scared kids.  Still, very readable and hard to put down.  Like I said, not my usual, but good.

Meanwhile, on the other side of...something...  I picked up four Charles de Lint books at the event last weekend, and then got one more in the mail today (Medicine Road w/art by Charles Vess).  I think it's time to read another de Lint book. :)  Now to figure out which one...
