I recently played Cosmic again, introducing a couple of new players to it, for the first time in many years. But I agree with both your reasons for loving it, and I intend to get playing it more often! I have an original set, with all 9 expansion sets, though I seldom use all of them. Moons makes for a much longer game, and flares a more complex game, (both bad for teaching, but good for playing) and I never use the alternate hexes.

Scotch - I've been enjoying Coul I'lla (sp?) a lot lately. Super-peaty Islay, best with a single ice cube to open up the flavor. (IMHO)
