Had a good time at Noisemakers this past Saturday. Congrats to all the event staff for a job well done!

I brought out a small selection of EK History stuff and had a table to display it. Several folks got a kick out of the various guild/activity newsletters (Music, Fencing, Signet, Cooks, etc). We even got the EK Music Guild newsletters sorted while I was there. The scribes that I ran into were very amused by the East Kingdom Standards booklet from the Signet office. I got to talk to a few people who have some old SCA stuff in their collections, so I passed out business cards so they can get a hold of me (or the next Historian) when they are ready to get rid of stuff. *crosses fingers*

I've got a few items that I'll leave home in the future or at least keep them in the back for reference only (stuff like the West Kingdom History). The big posters need a better display method. As it was I just brought them out from time to time and put them on top of everything else. The Waiver needs a frame of some sort that will protect it and let us see both sides (tricky...)

I got to meet [livejournal.com profile] talvinamarich finally, but we didn't get a lot of time to chat about history stuff. We'll have to find some time outside of an event.

Court was very cool, with a lot of folks getting some well deserved recognition. I must say that the part which I was most happy about was when Lady Philadelphia became a Court Baroness - Congratulations Your Excellency! I hadn't heard about it (nor did I catch any hints), and when she was called up I was grinning from ear to ear.
