Busy weekend

Busy, but good I should say. Thursday night we met up with
notshakespeare,
sindia,
thoughtmaster and
stratagos for dinner and the Susanne Vega in concert. It was my first time seeing her in concert and she put on a great show. I wasn't real impressed with the opening act though. He could sing and play well, but the songs did nothing for me.
Friday we stayed home and I started doing some work on the game boards for Green Lane (nothing quite like the last minute eh?) I figured out what we have and what I want to make. I've even come up with two more games to add, so folks who have seen us before can get/see something new.
Saturday I drove down to Swamp Thyng (SCA event in Delaware). It was a very rainy drive down, but the sky cleared up as I approached the site. I spent the rest of the day either shoot archery, helping run the practice range or just hanging out. I went through the roving range with
singewulf and our friends from Atlantia. The targets were all taken from the Bayeux Tapestry. We had a bit of excitement there when Jackson discovered a nest of ground bees in front of one of the targets. Much running ensued as he got stung several times on his legs. I got stung on my arm and hand, and one other guy got stung on the back of his head, but that was it. We took that target out of the shoot (which was too bad, 'cause Jackson had a perfect score on it). After getting everyone patched up we finished out the shoot. I got the top score for my rank, and won a nice piece of art by Sarra the Lymner - is very nice!
Sunday was
complexated and
hairness's wedding (Mazel Tov!). The ceremony was beautiful and we had a lot of fun at the reception. Afterward
vonbryan, Daryl and Robin, two folks we met at the wedding, came over and we played a few games. It was great way to end the evening.
Today I expect most of my time will be spent working on game boards. I need to hem them, get the boards drawn, hand them off to folks who can decorate them and put together the rules and pieces.
