Here is an interesting item which came up in one of my eBay searches. 40 b/w photos from an SCA event in 1977:

I'd be very, very interested to see a video from that time (even though it was way too expensive at the time for home users). Even watching styles from five years ago is fascinating.

LOL fantastic. It makes me recall my own early days in the late 80s. Things hadn't necessarily changed a lot by then - the trend towards uber-authenticity hadn't begun and artisans and merchants providing more, better, more varied wares hadn't happened.

That would be cool. I have a few videos, but nothing that old - I think Pennsic XX is the oldest. If you want, the next time you're down here I can dig them out.
