14. Thud! - Terry Pratchett [32 : 824/1536]
Last week, I finished the latest Discworld book on the train from NYC. Good fun read. Now I really need to break out my copy of the game Thud and get someone to play it with me (after we learn the rules...)

Yep, the game was created several years before the book came out.

Heh. For "several", read "over a thousand"—I'm pretty sure it's just Hnefatafl.

Nope. I had wondered that too when I first saw it, but apart from looking similar it's a different game. Check out the Wikipedia entry for an overview.
